My wife and I recently adopted.  My son is the light of our world.  There are many children who are looking for loving families. We adopted a newborn African American baby in January.  We went through a private adoption attorney and had a baby in six months.  Our home is now complete, and I especially encourage minorities to consider adopting.  In the African American community, adoption is almost taboo, but we can change this mindset.  Open your heart to a child and I am sure you will find it as rewarding as I have.
